Review: Mosquitoland

Mosquitoland Mosquitoland by David Arnold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mim Malone's life is a mess. Her parents have divorced, her dad has remarried the Denny's waitress and moved Mim from her home in Ohio to Mississippi (aka Mosquitoland), she's just found out that her mom is sick back in Ohio, and I forgot to mention that Mim's in a medicated haze because her dad thinks she's crazy. And this is just the beginning of Mim's unforgettable adventure.

With fierce determination, Mim hops aboard a Greyhound bus and heads north to find and help her mother. The band of quirky characters that Mim encounters along the way are both comical and heartbreaking. Join Mim on this journey of a lifetime as she confronts reality, explores the true meaning of love and friendship, and ultimately figures out that normal isn't the same for everyone.
