Review: Station Eleven

Station Eleven Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I must admit that this book kind of freaked me out a bit. Modern day living suddenly takes on new meaning when an invasive flu pandemic wipes out 99% of the world's population in a matter of weeks. Several survivors, rebuilding their lives along what was once the idyllic Michigan shoreline, chronicle how life in this new world exists parallel with their memories of the past.

Twenty plus years of living off the land, no electricity, little travel, bands of robbers, and still hope for a future.
