Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D. Schmidt
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Life isn't always easy growing up on a farm like Jack does, but when his new foster brother, Joseph, enters the picture, Jack's eyes are opened to a world he never envisioned. Joseph is a 14 year old 8th grader with a questionable history, a strong athlete, great a math, and father to an infant he's never met. As he longs to see his daughter, Jupiter, things begin to unravel for Joseph. When Jack and his parents learn the truth about Joseph's history and what got him into the foster care system, they instantly decide that family, loyalty, and support are exactly what Joseph needs, but are those the things he wants?
A heartbreaking, and heartwarming story for young adults.
