Scrible - free online tool for organizing research

Scrible is an online tool that provides a simple and efficient method for organizing online research; I like to think of it as a powerful curation tool.  With just a few clicks, teachers and students can create an account that is linked to their Google Apps for Education account for easy login, and be ready to start saving, annotating, and organizing sites for research.

GREAT WITH GOOGLE
In addition to using a Google account for an easy login.  There is also a Chrome browser extension that allows users to easily access the annotation tools in Scrible while they are on any website in the Chrome browser. Another feature that makes Scrible even more valuable is the Google Docs Add-On.  Installing this powerful add-on lets users link individual docs right to the resources that are stored in their Scrible libraries.

Check out this video tutorial to see the basics of Scrible in action.

CLASSROOM TIPS
  • Link your Teacher Scrible account with Google Classroom to automatically invite your students to the tool and to easily share resources with students using the Classroom Libraries
  • Get your students in the habit of tagging their resources with specific tags that will make it easy to find the resources again
