Review: Flannery

Flannery Flannery by Lisa Moore
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Flannery's quirkiness is what keeps this novel going. She's dealing with it all - an artsy mother who can't seem to pull it together, a dad who doesn't even know she exists, a best friend who's getting mixed up in all of the wrong stuff, the troubled boy she pines over, and the list keeps going.

To be honest - it just seems like Moore is trying to cover so much teen angst that none of it really resonates with the reader. A quick read with just enough romance and rock & roll to pull most YA fans through to the end.
